Excellent when lake freezes over, any wind direction OK, but can be gusty at times.
Winter 2012 update:
Access to the lake closed, parking at your own risk of getting a ticket or tow.
Park owner closed it due to damage done to the grassed areas by snow mobiliers and ice fisherman. Snow kiting is still allowed as long as you arrange for parking with one of the lake residents.
